Ingredients

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 lb chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, broccoli)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Cook chicken until browned and cooked through, then remove and set aside.
  • Add the remaining oil to the skillet, sauté garlic for 1 minute, then add mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  • In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil.
  • Add the cooked chicken, lo mein noodles, and sauce mixture to the skillet. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, ensuring everything is well coated in sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use frozen vegetables, but thaw and drain them first.
  • Substitute chicken with shrimp, beef, or tofu for variety.
  • Add red pepper flakes or sriracha for extra spice.
  • Lo mein noodles can be replaced with soba or rice noodles.
