Description

Delight your taste buds with Fairy Bites, buttery cookies with a melt-in-your-mouth texture, nutty goodness, and a dusting of powdered sugar. Perfect for holidays, snacks, or dessert tables, these easy-to-make treats are a family favorite!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Additional powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cream Butter: Beat softened butter in a mixing bowl until creamy. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, sift flour, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in Nuts: Gently fold in the chopped nuts.
  • Shape Dough: Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, 1 inch apart.
  • Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, until the bottoms are lightly golden. Cool slightly on the baking sheet.
  • Dust with Sugar: While warm, dust generously with powdered sugar. Allow to cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • For sticky dough, chill in the fridge for 10-15 minutes before shaping.
  • To make gluten-free, substitute with a gluten-free flour blend.
  • Unbaked dough can be frozen for up to 3 months.
