Ingredients
- Saltine crackers (enough to cover a 15” x 10” x 1” baking sheet)
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a 15” x 10” x 1” baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer to cover the sheet.
- Make Toffee: In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over medium heat. Stir in 1 cup of packed light brown sugar until dissolved. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly, and let it boil for 2-3 minutes (270°F-290°F).
- Pour Toffee: Quickly pour the hot toffee over the arranged crackers, spreading it evenly.
- Bake: Place the sheet in the oven for 5 minutes until the toffee bubbles and sets.
- Add Chocolate: Remove from the oven, sprinkle chocolate chips over the toffee, and let them melt. Spread evenly using a spatula.
- Add Toppings: While the chocolate is still warm, add toppings like nuts, sprinkles, or crushed candy canes.
- Cool and Serve: Let the toffee cool completely, then break into pieces. Store at room temperature or in the fridge.
