Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup Cool Whip (whipped topping)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or coconut oil (for melting chocolate)
Instructions
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine powdered sugar, Cool Whip, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and fully blended.
- Shape the mixture into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Freeze the candy balls for at least 30 minutes, or until firm.
- While the balls are freezing, melt the chocolate chips and oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until smooth and fully melted.
- Once the candy balls are firm, dip each one into the melted chocolate, coating completely. Place back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Freeze the chocolate-coated candy for 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate has set.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator or freezer.
Notes
- These candies can be stored in the fridge or freezer for long-lasting freshness.
- If you prefer a different flavor, feel free to swap the vanilla extract for almond extract for a fun twist.
- You can also roll the candy balls in crushed nuts or sprinkles before freezing for added texture.
