Description

Delightful Vanilla Pudding Swirls are the perfect sweet treat, combining soft, freshly baked dough with rich, creamy vanilla pudding. With a visually appealing spiral design and comforting homemade flavor, these pastries are ideal for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

 


Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 450 g flour
  • 200 ml lukewarm milk
  • 20 g fresh yeast (or 7 g instant yeast)
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 50 g soft butter
  • 1 egg
  • A pinch of salt

For the Filling:

  • 55 g sugar
  • 1 packet vanilla pudding powder
  • 400 ml milk

Additionally:

  • 1 egg yolk

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough:
    • Mix lukewarm milk, fresh yeast, and 1 tbsp of sugar. Combine this with remaining dough ingredients. Knead until smooth. Let it rise for 1 hour.
  • Prepare the Pudding:
    • Cook the pudding using 400 ml milk as per the package instructions. Let it cool slightly.
  • Assemble Swirls:
    • Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread the pudding evenly, roll tightly, and cut into slices.
  • Second Rise:
    • Place slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet, cover, and let rise for 20 minutes.
  • Bake:
    • Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Brush slices with beaten egg yolk. Bake for 20-23 minutes until golden.
  • Serve:
    • Cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • For variations, add chocolate chips, fresh berries, or chopped nuts to the filling.
