Crispy Chicken Tenders with Honey Mustard Dip is a quick and easy recipe perfect for family dinners, snacks, or parties. Featuring a golden crust and a tangy-sweet dip, this kid-friendly dish is a crowd-pleaser ready in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

For the Chicken Tenders:

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into 1-inch strips)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Vegetable oil for frying

For the Honey Mustard Dip:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dip: In a small bowl, whisk mayonnaise, honey, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a shallow dish, combine flour, panko, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Prepare Egg Wash: In another shallow dish, whisk egg and milk together.
  4. Bread the Chicken: Dip each chicken strip into the egg mixture, then coat thoroughly with the flour mixture.
  5. Heat Oil: Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Fry the Chicken: Cook chicken tenders in batches, 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Drain and Serve: Place cooked chicken on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with the honey mustard dip.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, double-coat the chicken by repeating the egg wash and flour coating steps.
  • To ensure even frying, don’t overcrowd the pan.
  • Always check that chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safety.
