Ingredients
For the Salmon Bites:
- 1 lb salmon fillet (skin removed, cut into bite-sized cubes)
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs (beaten)
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
For the Bang Bang Sauce:
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
- 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp honey
Instructions
- Prepare the salmon bites – Pat the salmon cubes dry with paper towels. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
- Set up the breading station – Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and mix panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper in a third bowl.
- Bread the salmon – Dip each salmon cube into the flour, then the beaten eggs, and finally coat it in the seasoned panko breadcrumbs. Ensure each piece is well-coated for maximum crispiness.
- Fry the salmon – Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Fry the salmon bites in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Remove and place on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Make the Bang Bang sauce – In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, and honey until smooth and creamy.
- Serve and enjoy – Drizzle the Bang Bang sauce over the crispy salmon bites or serve it on the side for dipping. Garnish with chopped green onions or sesame seeds for extra flair!
