Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Creamy Lemon Herb Parmesan Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • Optional: Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

1. Season and Cook the Chicken

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry and season with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked (165°F internal temperature).
  4. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

2. Make the Creamy Lemon Herb Sauce

  1. Reduce heat to medium and melt butter in the same skillet.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and zest. Mix until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
  4. Add dried parsley, basil, and oregano, stirring well. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.

3. Combine and Serve

  1. Return cooked chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top.
  2. Let the chicken warm through for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with pasta, rice, or roasted vegetables.
