Description

A rich and creamy garlic Alfredo sauce with tender chicken, crisp broccoli, and fettuccine, creating a comforting and delicious dish.

Ingredients

2 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup milk

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon butter

2 cups broccoli florets, steamed

12 oz fettuccine pasta, cooked

Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside. Once cooled, slice the chicken into thin strips.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring frequently until fragrant.
  4. Add the heavy cream and milk to the skillet, whisking to combine. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth, creating a creamy sauce.
  6. Add the cooked fettuccine pasta and steamed broccoli into the skillet, tossing to coat everything in the sauce.
  7. Gently stir in the sliced chicken and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until heated through.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

To reheat, gently warm on the stove over low heat, adding a splash of milk or cream. Alternatively, microwave and stir every 30 seconds to ensure even heating.

Frozen broccoli can be used as a substitute for fresh. Just steam it before adding.

If you prefer a lighter version, you can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or a milk-flour mixture.

You can swap chicken for shrimp or tofu for a different protein option.

This dish can be made dairy-free by using plant-based alternatives for cream and cheese.
