Ingredients
- Bagels: 2 plain bagels (or your preferred variety)
- Steak: 1/2 pound shaved steak
- Eggs: 4 large eggs, beaten
- Cheese: 2 slices American cheese (or cheddar/provolone)
- Onion: 1 small, sliced
- Butter: 3 tablespoons unsalted
- Seasonings:
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Sauce Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon dried dill
Instructions
- Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, mustard, and dried dill. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Cook the Onions: Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions with a pinch of salt until lightly browned. Set aside.
- Prepare the Steak: Toss the shaved steak with Worcestershire sauce and steak seasoning. Heat 1 tablespoon butter in the skillet and cook steak until browned. Mix cooked onions with the steak and divide into two portions. Top each portion with a slice of cheese to melt.
- Scramble the Eggs: Heat the remaining tablespoon of butter and scramble the beaten eggs in the skillet. Divide into two portions.
- Toast the Bagels: Toast bagels in a toaster or skillet until golden.
- Assemble: Spread the sauce on each bagel half. Layer scrambled eggs, steak and onion mixture, and top with the other bagel half.
