Description

Cool Whip Cookies are a quick and easy dessert made with cake mix, Cool Whip, and an egg. With endless flavor variations, these soft, fluffy cookies are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (15.25 oz) cake mix (any flavor, e.g., chocolate, lemon, or strawberry)
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Dough:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    • In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, whipped topping, and egg. Mix until fully combined (dough will be thick and sticky).
  • Shape the Cookies:
    • Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough. Roll in powdered sugar and shape into balls.
  • Arrange and Bake:
    • Place balls on the baking sheet, spaced 2 inches apart.
    • Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set and tops are crinkled.
  • Cool:
    • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For easier handling, chill sticky dough for 20-30 minutes before shaping.
  • Experiment with flavors like lemon, chocolate, or red velvet cake mix for variety.
  • Add chocolate chips, sprinkles, or nuts for extra texture.
