Description

These Coconut Macaroons are irresistibly chewy and sweet, made with just five simple ingredients, including sweetened condensed milk and shredded coconut. A quick and easy dessert that anyone can make. Perfect for coconut lovers and great for dipping in chocolate for extra flavor!

Ingredients

  • 5 ½ cups flaked coconut
  • ⅔ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  • In a large bowl, combine the flaked coconut, flour, and salt. Mix well.
  • Add the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir until fully combined.
  • Using a small ice cream or cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
  • Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the macaroons are lightly browned on the edges.
  • Allow the macaroons to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, try dipping the macaroons in melted chocolate after baking.
  • If you’d like a chewier texture, avoid overbaking.
  • You can easily make them gluten-free by using gluten-free flour or omitting the flour.
