Ingredients
- 1 cup hot brewed coffee
- 1 ½ oz Irish whiskey (e.g., Jameson, Bushmills, or Tullamore D.E.W.)
- 1–2 tsp brown sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 oz heavy cream (lightly whipped or unwhipped)
Instructions
- Prepare the glass – Fill an Irish Coffee glass with hot water to preheat it, then discard the water.
- Dissolve the sugar – Add brown sugar to the warmed glass, then pour in the hot brewed coffee. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Add whiskey – Pour in the Irish whiskey and stir to combine.
- Float the cream – Gently pour the heavy cream over the back of a spoon so it floats on top of the coffee.
- Serve and enjoy – Do not stir! Sip the coffee through the cream for an authentic experience.
