Description

This Classic Deviled Eggs recipe features a flavorful twist with beef, sharp cheddar, and fresh chives, making it the perfect creamy, savory appetizer for parties, picnics, or holiday gatherings.

 


Ingredients

  • 14 hard-cooked eggs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup crumbled cooked beef
  • 1/4 cup finely shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives or scallion tops

Instructions

  1. Slice eggs lengthwise and remove yolks. Place yolks in a bowl and reserve 24 egg white halves. Chop the remaining 4 halves finely.
  2. Mash yolks with a fork. Stir in mayonnaise, sour cream, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Fold in chopped egg whites, beef, cheddar, and chives.
  4. Spoon the yolk mixture into the egg white halves. Garnish with extra chives, if desired.
  5. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.

  • For a spicier version, add cayenne pepper or hot sauce.
