  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup reserved pasta water or chicken broth

Instructions

  • Prepare Ingredients:
    • Gather all ingredients and prep: cook and shred chicken, chop broccoli, and mince garlic.
  • Cook Pasta:
    • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  • Cook Broccoli:
    • In the same pot, cook broccoli for 2-3 minutes until tender but vibrant. Set aside.
  • Make Sauce:
    • Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet. Sauté garlic until fragrant.
    • Add reserved pasta water (or chicken broth) and Parmesan, stirring until creamy. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  • Combine:
    • Toss pasta, chicken, and broccoli in the skillet with the sauce. Adjust the consistency with pasta water if needed.
  • Serve:
    • Heat for 2-3 minutes, garnish with Parmesan or parsley, and serve immediately.

  • For a creamier sauce, add a splash of heavy cream or cream cheese.
  • Use frozen broccoli as a quick substitute, ensuring it’s well-drained.
