Description

This Cheesy Garlic Bread Shrimp Grilled Cheese combines crispy garlic buttered bread, succulent shrimp, and melted cheese in a delicious fusion of comfort food and indulgence. Perfect for cozy nights or special occasions, this easy-to-make dish is packed with flavor and customization options.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of your favorite bread
  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Mix softened butter with minced garlic in a small bowl. Spread the garlic butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Cook until shrimp are pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  • Heat a large non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Place a slice of bread, garlic butter side down, on the skillet.
  • Add a generous layer of mozzarella cheese, followed by cooked shrimp and a sprinkle of Parmesan. Top with another slice of bread, garlic butter side up.
  • Cook until the bottom slice is golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Flip the sandwich and cook until golden and cheese is melted, another 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let rest for a minute before slicing. Repeat with the remaining sandwiches.
  • Sprinkle with dried parsley for extra flavor and color.

Notes

  • Try mixing mozzarella with cheddar for a sharper flavor.
  • Add red pepper flakes to the garlic butter for extra heat.
  • Pre-cooked shrimp can be used to save time.
