Ingredients

For the Brownies:

  • 1 (18 oz) box brownie mix
  • Eggs, oil, and water (as specified on the brownie mix package)

For the Cheesecake Swirl:

  • 12 oz cream cheese (or Neufchâtel cream cheese)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven as instructed on the brownie mix package.
  • Prepare the Brownie Mix: Mix the brownie batter according to the package instructions. Set aside.
  • Make the Cheesecake Mixture: Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add the egg, flour, sugar, and vanilla extract, stirring until creamy.
  • Layer the Brownies and Cheesecake: Pour all but ½ cup of the brownie batter into a greased 9×13-inch pan. Spread evenly. Spoon the cheesecake mixture on top, followed by the reserved brownie batter.
  • Create the Swirl: Use a knife to gently swirl the cheesecake and brownie batter together for a marbled effect.
  • Bake: Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
