Ingredients
- 4 quarter-pound hamburger patties
- 1 red onion, sliced
- 4 to 5 medium Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Sea salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns (optional)
- 4 sheets heavy-duty aluminum foil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400˚F.
- Toss diced potatoes in olive oil and set aside.
- Divide the potatoes, onion slices, and hamburger patties onto foil sheets. Season patties with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Fold the foil into pouches and bake for 35 minutes until the burgers reach 160˚F internally.
- Unwrap, add a slice of cheese on top of each burger, and bake uncovered for an additional 2 minutes.
