Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook Beef and Onions: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions until translucent (3-4 minutes). Add ground beef and cook until browned, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Season the Filling: Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Cool slightly.
- Assemble Pockets: Unroll crescent dough into 8 triangles. Place beef mixture on the wide end, sprinkle cheddar on top, and fold the dough over to seal.
- Bake: Arrange pockets on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool and Serve: Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Add jalapeños for spice or swap cheddar for other cheeses like pepper jack or Swiss.
- Ensure the filling is not too wet to avoid soggy dough.
