Description

Carrot Strawberries are a fun, colorful twist on chocolate-covered strawberries that are perfect for Easter and spring celebrations. Dipped in orange candy melts, these adorable treats resemble carrots and offer a sweet, flavorful contrast between juicy strawberries and smooth chocolate. Easy to make and fun for both kids and adults, these festive Carrot Strawberries are a must-try treat for your next holiday gathering or family snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Strawberries
  • 8 oz Orange Candy Melting Chips
  • Orange Sparkling Sugar (optional)

Instructions

  • Gently fluff the stems of the strawberries upward.
  • Freeze the strawberries for 10-15 minutes.
  • Melt the orange candy melting chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth.
  • Prepare a piece of wax or parchment paper to place the dipped strawberries.
  • Using a spoon, spread the melted chocolate around the top near the stem.
  • Hold the strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted chocolate, coating the fruit.
  • Optionally, sprinkle with orange sparkling sugar for extra texture.
  • Place the strawberries on parchment paper and allow them to chill in the freezer for a few minutes to set the chocolate.

Notes

  • You can substitute with different colored candy melts, but the “carrot” look will be lost.
  • For extra festive flair, drizzle green melted candy melts for leaves or sprinkle with mini chocolate chips.
  • If you make these ahead of time, store them in the fridge for up to 2 days, or freeze them for up to 2 weeks.
