Ingredients
For the Crust:
- 1 ½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
- 6 tbsp melted butter
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
For the Caramel Layer:
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- ½ tsp sea salt
For the Chocolate Layer:
- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ¾ cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Whipped Topping:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For Garnish (Optional):
- Chocolate shavings
- Drizzle of caramel sauce
- Chopped nuts
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the Crust
- In a bowl, mix chocolate cookie crumbs, melted butter, and sugar.
- Press firmly into an 8×8-inch pan and refrigerate for 15 minutes.
2️⃣ Add the Caramel Layer
- Spread caramel sauce evenly over the crust.
- Sprinkle sea salt on top and return to the fridge.
3️⃣ Make the Chocolate Layer
- Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until warm (do not boil).
- Pour over chocolate chips and let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
4️⃣ Layer the Chocolate
- Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the caramel layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
5️⃣ Prepare the Whipped Topping
- Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
- Spread over the chilled chocolate layer.
6️⃣ Garnish & Serve
- Top with chocolate shavings, caramel drizzle, or chopped nuts.
