Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 yellow onion (chopped)

1 bell pepper (chopped)

1 small head of cabbage (cored & chopped)

1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes

2 tsp Tony Chachere’s Creole seasoning (or substitute with paprika, cayenne, and salt)

2 tsp garlic powder

2 tsp smoked paprika

1 tsp black pepper

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese


Instructions

    1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Remove excess fat (leave a little if desired).

    2. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper. Cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.

    3. Stir in the chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, and all seasonings. Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    4. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

    5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the mixture and cover again until the cheese melts.

    6. Serve and enjoy! For those not on a keto diet, serve with rice.

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or red pepper flakes.
