Ingredients

  • 1 cup (227 g) butter, softened
  • 1 cup (118 g) powdered sugar
  • 2 cups (256 g) all-purpose flour

Instructions

Preheat Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C).
  • Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.

2️⃣ Cream Butter and Sugar:

  • In a large bowl, beat the butter and powdered sugar together with an electric mixer for about 5 minutes until light, fluffy, and pale in color.

3️⃣ Add Flour:

  • Gradually mix in the all-purpose flour on low speed. Increase to medium speed until a soft, thick dough forms.

4️⃣ Shape the Cookies:

  • Transfer the dough to a piping bag with a large open star tip.
  • Pipe swirls or desired shapes onto the baking sheets, 1 inch apart.

5️⃣ Chill the Dough:

  • Refrigerate the piped cookies for 30 minutes to help them hold their shape.

6️⃣ Bake:

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges turn a light golden brown.

7️⃣ Cool & Serve:

  • Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
