- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 can (8 ounces) crescent rolls
- 6 ounces cream cheese
- 24 mini sausages
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tsp honey
- Everything bagel seasoning
Instructions
- Caramelize the Onions:
Heat olive oil in a small pan over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions, salt, garlic powder, and brown sugar. Sauté for 10–15 minutes, stirring often, until soft and browned. - Prepare the Dough:
Unroll crescent roll dough and cut each triangle into three smaller triangles, making 24 pieces. - Prep the Cream Cheese:
Cut cream cheese into 24 small portions. - Assemble:
Flatten a dough triangle slightly. Spread cream cheese, add a bit of caramelized onion, and place a mini sausage on the wide end of the triangle. Roll it up and seal. - Add Topping:
In a small bowl, whisk the egg, dijon mustard, and honey. Brush this mixture over each roll and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning. - Bake:
Arrange on a baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 11–14 minutes, until golden brown.
Notes
- Pat the onions dry before using them to avoid soggy dough.
- For added heat, include sliced jalapeños inside the rolls.
- Serve warm with dipping sauces like honey mustard or sriracha.
