Ingredients

  • ¾ cup maple syrup
  • 1 ½ tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ cup confectioners’ sugar

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat to 400°F (200°C) and grease a donut pan.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, salt, and baking soda in a large bowl.
  • Combine Wet Ingredients: Beat melted butter and brown sugar until combined. Add eggs, one at a time, followed by pumpkin puree and vanilla extract.
  • Combine Mixtures: Gradually stir dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Fill and Bake: Spoon batter into the pan, filling each cavity ¾ full. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
