Ingredients
For the Donuts:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder

- ¼ tsp baking soda
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup canned pumpkin puree
- 2 tsp vanilla extract

- ¾ cup maple syrup
- 1 ½ tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ tsp kosher salt
- ¼ cup confectioners’ sugar
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat to 400°F (200°C) and grease a donut pan.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, salt, and baking soda in a large bowl.
- Combine Wet Ingredients: Beat melted butter and brown sugar until combined. Add eggs, one at a time, followed by pumpkin puree and vanilla extract.
- Combine Mixtures: Gradually stir dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Fill and Bake: Spoon batter into the pan, filling each cavity ¾ full. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Prepare Glaze: Heat maple syrup over medium heat until reduced by half. Stir in butter, vanilla, and salt, then whisk in confectioners’ sugar until smooth.
