Description

Baked cauliflower is a quick, healthy, and delicious side dish. Perfectly roasted cauliflower florets, seasoned with a flavorful spice blend, are optionally topped with Parmesan cheese for a golden, crispy finish. It’s the perfect low-carb, nutrient-packed addition to any meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. Prepare the Cauliflower:
In a large bowl, toss cauliflower florets with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Bake:
Spread the seasoned cauliflower evenly on the baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until golden brown and tender.
  4. Optional – Add Parmesan:
Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the cauliflower during the last 5 minutes of baking. Bake until the cheese melts and crisps slightly.
  5. Serve:
Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, ensure the cauliflower is spread in a single layer and not overcrowded.
  • Adjust spices to your preference. Add cayenne for a spicy kick or lemon zest for a zesty finish.
  • This dish is naturally gluten-free and can be made vegan by skipping Parmesan or using nutritional yeast.
