- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened applesauce

- 1 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine applesauce, sugar, oil (or extra applesauce), and vanilla until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture. Avoid overmixing.
