Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 count) buttermilk biscuits
  • 1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 tbsp milk

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 10-inch cast-iron skillet or baking dish.
  • Mix Sugar Coating: Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  • Coat Biscuits: Dip biscuits in melted butter, then coat with sugar mixture. Arrange them in the skillet or dish.
  • Add Apple Filling: Chop the apple filling and mix with vanilla. Spoon over biscuits.
  • Bake: Drizzle remaining butter and sugar mixture over biscuits. Bake for 35 minutes, or until golden and bubbling.
  • Prepare Icing: Whisk confectioners’ sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over warm biscuits.
