Description

Air Fryer Beef Jerky is a quick, protein-packed snack that’s easy to make at home. Customize flavors to suit your taste and enjoy a healthier alternative to store-bought jerky. Perfect for snacking, camping, or on-the-go meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean beef (e.g., top round or flank steak)
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef: Trim excess fat and freeze for 1 hour for easier slicing.
  2. Slice: Cut beef against the grain into 1/4-inch thick strips.
  3. Marinate: Mix soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Submerge beef strips, cover, and refrigerate for 3 hours or overnight.
  4. Preheat Air Fryer: Set to 210°F (100°C).
  5. Arrange: Pat beef strips dry and place in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook: Air fry for 2 hours, checking for dryness. Continue in 15-20 minute intervals if needed.
  7. Cool & Store: Cool on a wire rack before storing in an airtight container.

Notes

  • For variations, try teriyaki (add honey and pineapple juice), spicy (extra red pepper or cayenne), or smoky BBQ (add liquid smoke).
  • Ensure beef slices are even for consistent drying.
