Description

This 2-Ingredient Banana Cake is an incredibly easy and healthy dessert made with just ripe bananas and eggs. It’s flourless, naturally sweet, and takes less than 40 minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

2 ripe bananas

2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a small baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Crack the eggs into the mashed bananas and whisk everything together until fully combined.
  4. Pour the banana-egg mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let the cake cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy as is or top with your favorite toppings like berries, whipped cream, or a drizzle of honey.

Notes

For extra sweetness, add honey, maple syrup, or a pinch of cinnamon.

If desired, serve with whipped cream, fresh berries, or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Overripe bananas work especially well for this recipe, as they are sweeter and softer.

Store any leftover cake in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2-3 days.

If freezing, wrap individual slices in plastic wrap and place in a freezer-safe bag.
